My story

My photography is emotional archeology, I dig benith the surface.

I’m a visual artist and photographer drawn to the spaces where the extraordinary in the everyday collide — I spent years observing this intersection, sometimes through a camera lens, sometimes just by paying attention.

My artistic journey began in 2007, not long after I left Italy for Ireland in the middle of a personal storm. I enrolled in a Fine Arts degree and, like many people starting over, I found that creativity became both a lifeline and a compass.

I graduated in 2011 and eventually moved to London, full of hopes, a camera, and just enough naivety to believe I’d land my dream job straight away.

Instead, I found long commutes, unanswered emails, and a few years of juggling side jobs while hustling for photography gigs. But somewhere in all that noise, I realised I didn’t need anyone’s permission to be a photographer — I just had to begin. So I found a studio space, promoted my services, and slowly built something of my own.

But here’s the thing: commercial work paid the bills, not the soul. The portfolio of personal work I’d tucked away on a shelf above my desk kept calling me back. Each image inside it reminded me why I started in the first place.

There are moments in life when we have to choose a path, even when the odds are stacked against us — and when we do, fear transforms into power.

For the first time, I discovered what it really means to be courageous. It’s never easy to put yourself out there, but I chose to do it with the most vulnerable part of me: my art and my story.

Now, my work is an open invitation to step into that vulnerability. It’s deeply rooted in personal narratives that often become universal, touching on themes like womanhood, identity, and family heritage. But most importantly, it’s a conscious choice to see beauty and colour where the world would have us believe it’s all gone grey.

What I try to do is simple, really: to hold space for the overlooked, the in-between, the tender. Because sometimes, that’s where the real story lives.

Embracing imperfection in my process has lead me to some of the most beautiful moments in my life.
